A pair of New England Revolution teammates did battle on the international stage for the second time in four nights when DeJuan Jones and the U.S. Men's National Team played to a 0-0 draw with Dylan Borrero and Colombia on Saturday evening at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California.

Jones, who made his international debut on Wednesday night as a second-half substitute in the United States' 2-1 loss to Revolution goalkeeper Djordje Petrović and Serbia, made his first start for the Stars and Stripes against Colombia, going the full 90 minutes. The fifth-year defender played the first 80 minutes at right back before shifting to the left side for the closing stages.

Borrero started and went 68 minutes in his first senior appearance for Colombia, playing in a central midfield role. The 21-year-old, who featured primarily as a winger in his first half-season with New England in 2022, looked sharp in the middle, registering one key pass while firing two shots (including one on target) and taking corners for Colombia during his time on the field.

The Revolution duo will now travel from California to Florida, where they'll join up with their club teammates for a three-week stay in Sarasota. The rest of the squad will depart from New England on Sunday morning, heading to the Sunshine State for the second phase of preseason in which the Revs will play five games against MLS opposition, beginning on Thursday, Feb. 2, against Inter Miami CF.
