FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (August 23, 2026) – The New England Revolution (10-7-4, 34 pts.) battled Eastern Conference rival New York City FC (7-8-6, 27 pts.) to a 1-1 draw on Sunday in front of 30,055 fans at Gillette Stadium. Dor Turgeman accounted for New England's lone goal, while Peyton Miller and Jack Harrison recorded assists on the play. Harrison's helper was his fifth in just four appearances, making him the fastest player in Revolution history to collect his first five assists for the club.

Miller's pace caused problems for the visitors from the opening whistle, nearly leading to the opening goal in the 27th minute. After spotting Miller's run in behind, Alhassan Yusuf played a perfectly weighted through ball that put the Homegrown winger in on goal. As he lined up the shot attempt, the Homegrown Player was brought down hard by a New York City defender, earning a penalty kick. Captain Carles Gil stepped up to the spot, but fellow 2026 MLS All-Star Matt Freese produced a full-extension save and denied Gil's follow-up attempt to keep the match scoreless.

New England maintained its attacking pressure with Miller almost finding the breakthrough moments later. On a transition opportunity, Gil slipped a pass into a sprinting Miller’s path behind New York City’s backline. The Connecticut native beat a charging Freese to the ball and poked it past the goalkeeper, but New York City FC defender James Sands, twin brother of the Revolution's Will Sands, produced a goal-line clearance to keep the ball out of the net.

Three minutes later, New England's persistence paid off as it found the opening goal. Harrison initiated the play, beating two defenders and lofting a cross to the back post for Miller. The 18-year-old redirected the ball into the path of Turgeman, who used the inside of his left foot to guide a first-time finish into the back of the net for his fifth goal of the season. Miller logged his third assist of the season on the play, giving him helpers in back-to-back matches for the first time in MLS.

New York City FC equalized the match before halftime, with James Sands scoring off a corner kick. The Revolution kept pushing for the go-ahead goal after the intermission, with Head Coach Marko Mitrović bringing on fresh legs in Judah Siqueira, Diego Fagundez, Wilson Harris, and Cody Baker. Siqueira, an Easton, Mass. native currently signed to Revolution II, played 26 minutes in his second consecutive MLS appearance.

In goal for New England, Matt Turner produced a series of strong saves to keep the match level. The United States International parried away attempts in the 63rd and 66th minutes, two of his four stops on the evening.

New England generated one final chance with five minutes remaining in regulation. Fagundez floated a cross to the back post that found Miller, who rose above his defender and directed a header toward the near post. However, Freese came up with another key save to deny the effort and preserve the 1-1 draw.

The Revolution will begin a four-match road swing on Saturday, August 29, traveling to meet Columbus Crew. Saturday's kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. at ScottsMiracle-Gro Field and will stream live on Apple TV in English and Spanish.
