CINCINNATI, Ohio (Oct. 14, 2026) – The New England Revolution (15-10-4, 49 pts.) clinched a berth in the Audi 2026 MLS Cup Playoffs with a 3-2 win at FC Cincinnati (9-10-9, 36 pts.) on Wednesday night. After conceding the opening goal, the Revolution responded with two first-half tallies and added another after the break to secure a sixth come-from-behind victory this season.

Striker Dor Turgeman paced the attack with two goals, recording the first multi-goal performance of his MLS career, while defender Josh Wynder notched his first goal-and-assist performance as a professional. Homegrown winger Peyton Miller also played a key role in the victory, registering two assists on the night, the first multi-assist performance of his MLS career. In net, goalkeeper Matt Turner produced eight saves in New England's sixth away win of the campaign.

FC Cincinnati seized an early lead in the 12th minute off a throw-in deep in New England's defensive third that skipped over the Revolution backline. Cincinnati striker Tom Barlow met the ball in stride and one-timed a left-footed finish into the back of the net.

The Revolution leveled the match in the 21st minute with Turgeman tallying his first of the night. Wynder, making his third straight start, spotted Miller open down the right flank and played a perfectly driven ball into the teenager's path. Miller settled the long ball with a touch before finding Turgeman open in the penalty area for a powerful first-time shot past a diving Evan Louro for the equalizer. The secondary helper from Wynder marked his first professional assist.

The Revolution soared into the lead just before halftime, with Wynder powering home a header off a corner kick. Captain Carles Gil delivered a curling service to the near post, where Wynder executed his run with precision and rose up to nod his effort inside the near post for his first MLS goal. The helper marked Gil's 10th of the season, making him the second player in MLS history to notch double-digit assists in six consecutive seasons, joining Preki (8).

New England carried its momentum into the second half and extended the lead in the 53rd minute. Midfielder Brooklyn Raines found Miller in space along the right wing, and the Connecticut native drove centrally before threading a pass between the home side’s backline for Turgeman. The Israel international showed composure in front of goal, drawing the goalkeeper off his line with a clever feint before calmly slotting his finish into the back of the net for his second goal of the night. After initially being disallowed for offsides, the goal was correctly awarded following video review.

FC Cincinnati pulled a goal back in the 67th minute. Samuel Gidi connected with Tyrell Malacia inside the Revolution penalty area, and Malacia drove a low ball across the face of goal to Kévin Denkey, who redirected the service into the net to cut New England's advantage to 3-2.

That was the last time the hosts would beat Turner on the night, as the Allstate MLS Goalkeeper of the Year contender delivered five crucial second-half stops and finished with eight saves, one short of his career high. With two minutes remaining in regulation, Cincinnati nearly found an equalizer, sending a dangerous cross into the penalty area that was headed on target by Denkey. However, Turner was there to punch the effort wide of the right post to preserve the road result.

New England heads back home for another pivotal Eastern Conference showdown against Chicago Fire FC, one of the Revolution's main rivals for a top-four playoff position. Saturday's match at Gillette Stadium kicks off at 7:30 p.m. ET on Apple TV, 98.5 The Sports Hub HD2, Rumba 97.7 FM (Spanish), and 1260 AM Nossa Radio (Portuguese).
