FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – Two New England Revolution Academy players have been selected for United States Men’s Youth National Team camps. Forward Cristiano Carlos (2008 – Chicopee, Mass.) has been selected to the U.S. Under-15 Youth National Team, while forward/defender Peyton Miller (2007 – Unionville, Conn.) has been called up to the U.S. Under-16 Youth National Team. Both camps will take place at Hillsborough County Tournament Sportsplex in Tampa, Fla. from January 4-13.
Carlos, 15, joined the Revolution Academy in 2021 and will make his first appearance with the United States Men’s Youth National Team. The Chicopee, Mass. native made 12 appearances with New England’s Under-15s this past fall, leading the squad with seven goals across over 900 minutes played. Carlos notched two goals during the MLS NEXT Fest tournament last month, securing the game-winner in his team’s first match vs. FC Dallas in the first minute of play. During the 2021-22 season, the forward recorded 17 goals in 16 appearances with the Under-14s.
Miller, 15, will make his third appearance with the U.S. Youth National Team, his second with the Under-16 squad. The Unionville, Conn. native most recently appeared with the U-16s in November 2022 for the U-16 Football Federations Cup in Albir, Spain. Miller’s first call-up came in February 2022 for a U-15 training camp in Chula Vista, Calif. This past fall, Miller scored five goals through nine appearances with New England’s U-17s after notching 25 goals during the 2021-22 season with the U-15 team.
