FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (Oct. 31, 2026) – The New England Revolution clinched their berth in the 2027 Concacaf Champions Cup following FC Dallas' 1-1 draw at Sporting Kansas City on Saturday afternoon. With that result, the Revolution are now guaranteed a top-four finish in the Supporters' Shield standings, which will make them one of six clubs to represent Major League Soccer in the region's premier men's club competition.
The 2027 Concacaf Champions Cup will feature 27 of the region’s top clubs, with teams from across North America, Central America, and the Caribbean earning their place as the competition celebrates its 65th anniversary. The tournament will crown the Confederation’s club champion and determine the third of four regional representatives that will qualify for the FIFA Club World Cup 2029. Next year's tournament will feature six MLS clubs: St. Louis CITY SC (U.S. Open Cup champions), Nashville SC (Supporters' Shield winners), the MLS Cup 2026 champion to be crowned on Dec. 18, the Western Conference regular season winner, and the two next-best teams in the Supporters' Shield standings, one of which is now guaranteed to be New England. Should New England or any of the other qualified teams win MLS Cup, the next best team in the Supporters' Shield standings will earn a spot.
The 2027 Concacaf Champions Cup will begin in early 2027, mostly running concurrently with the 2027 MLS Sprint Season between February and May. Additional details on the 2027 Concacaf Champions Cup draw, schedule, and tickets will be available prior to the start of the tournament.
