It was a big week for the New England Revolution, who on Wednesday night rolled to a 4-0 win over LD Alajuelense in the first leg of their Concacaf Champions Cup Round of 16 showdown, and on Thursday morning announced the re-signing of captain Carles Gil to a long-term contract extension. Gil joined host DJ Bean on this week's episode of The Soccer Show to discuss his decision to remain in New England, while Apple TV analyst Diego Valeri - who will have the Spanish call of tonight's Revs-Atlanta game on MLS Season Pass - offered insight into Caleb Porter, who served as Valeri's head coach for five years with the Portland Timbers. Revolution play-by-play man Brad Feldman also joined the show to talk about Gil's contract extension and takeaways from the Revs' first few matches.
