Happy August Junior Revs!
This summer has flown by, not too long ago the team started July off with a win over Atlanta United FC! After the match, we celebrated our Americana Night with fireworks! I had so much fun watching with you all. July 13 was our next home match, and I invited all my friends to come with me for Mascot Night! I loved introducing my friends to you all, showing them the Fan Zone, and even having them do the Tea Crate Toss with me, what a night! On July 20, the team hosted FC Dallas and gained a point with a 1-1 tie! This was our match for C.H.A.N.G.E. and Fan Zone was filled with businesses owned by local women of. After the match, we got to see our Unified Team play in their match against the FC Dallas Unified Team! I had a blast spending some extra time on the pitch cheering them on! On July 27, Leagues Cup 2024 officially kicked off for the team with a match against Mazatlán FC. The Revs came out on top with a 1-0 win! The goal was scored by midfielder, Jack Panayotou, his first career goal with the first team!
Leagues Cup continues through the month of August, with the Revs hosting Nashville SC on Tuesday, August 6. This match will decide our fate in the next stage of the tournament. Fast forward to the end of the month, the Revs are back to regular season matches. The team travels to Montreal to face-off against CF Montreal on August 24. The following week, the Revs head out west with a match up against Real Salt Lake. This match will close out a fun month of August matches!
Off the pitch, the Revs hosted their third annual Ping Pong Night on July 23! Four Revolution players competed with fans to see who would take home the ping pong championship belt! Fans enjoyed hanging out with the players and for once, being their opponents. The championship match came down to Ryan Spaulding and Ian Harkes vs. Ema Boateng and Jona Mensah. After a hard-fought match, Ema and Jona went home with the championship belt! I can't wait to see who wins next year!
Just a reminder, to check in at the Junior Revs tent in Fan Zone, located in the plaza outside the Gillette Stadium ProShop, on your way into the stadium for each home match. We’re out there until kick off so there’s plenty of time to stop by! If you miss us, you can check in at any of the guest services locations on the concourse. Don’t forget, the more matches you attend and check in for, the better the prize at the end of the year!
