RECENT FORM VS. D.C. UNITED
Wednesday night's showdown will be the 99th meeting in all competitions between this pair of MLS originals, who first did battle more than 29 years ago in the Revolution's first-ever home game on April 27, 1996. While the series has been largely even throughout that span, it was the Revs who had a dominant spell from 2020-23, winning nine of 10 meetings. D.C. United flipped the script last year, however, sweeping the series with a 3-1 win at Audi Field and a 2-1 triumph at Gillette Stadium.
The Revs (5-4-4, 19 pts.) kicked off their three-game road swing with a wild 3-3 draw at Sporting Kansas City this past weekend, taking a 2-0 lead into halftime before falling behind, 3-2, in just an eight-minute span after the break. Second-half subs Maxi Urruti and Luis Diaz combined on a late equalizer, however, as the Revolution salvaged a point to extend their unbeaten run to seven games (4-0-3) with a third straight draw.
D.C. United (3-7-5, 14 pts.) are winless in four (0-2-2) and haven't scored a goal during that stretch, suffering a pair of 2-0 defeats sandwiched around a pair of 0-0 draws. Goalscoring has been an issue all season for D.C., whose 13 goals scored are tied for fourth-fewest in MLS, while their 27 goals against are tied for second-most. Contributing to those recent struggles is the absence of last year's MLS Golden Boot winner, Christian Benteke, who had six goals and one assist before suffering an ankle injury.
In the midst of playing three road games in eight days, the Revs will round out the week on Saturday night at CF Montréal, before a bye week ahead of a home-heavy stretch in June.

Wednesday night the Revs will wear the "Eastern White Pine" kit, which will serve as the club's Community kit for the 2025 and 2026 seasons.
Inspired by the Flag of New England on the 250th anniversary of its first use by New England colonies in the Revolutionary War, this is the first time in a decade that the Revs have paid homage to the historic Flag of New England in their kit design. While the Flag of New England has regularly been featured as a minor accent on the club's jerseys, the new kit's design iterates on past tributes by focusing on the Eastern White Pine featured on the flag.
This is the first season-long Revolution uniform to feature Forest Green as the leading color, accented by the club’s Heritage Blue, paired with white shorts and white socks.
