RECENT FORM VS. COLUMBUS CREW
Columbus has unquestionably had the upper hand in this series since the start of 2018, as New England has won just once (1-4-6) in the last 11 regular-season meetings ... a stretch during which the Crew were coached by Caleb Porter (2019-22). That includes a 1-3-2 mark in the last six encounters at Gillette Stadium, where the Crew claimed a 2-1 win in the most recent showdown last October. There was, however, a string of five straight draws in the series prior to that result, so the sides have been evenly matched in recent years.
The Revs (6-10-1, 19 pts.) will enter the weekend as one of Major League Soccer's hottest teams, having rattled off four straight wins - all against teams currently above the playoff line in their respective conferences - to climb to within two points of the play-in places in the East and with multiple games in hand. New England's most recent victory was perhaps the most impressive, as the Revs used two goals from Giacomo Vrioni and two assists from Carles Gil to claim a 2-1 triumph at TQL Stadium, taking down an FC Cincinnati side that had won nine of the previous 10 games.
The Crew (8-3-6, 30 pts.) have been similarly strong in recent weeks, winning five of their last six league games to sit perched fifth in the East despite playing 2-3 fewer games than everyone else in the conference (besides New England). Columbus, last year's MLS Cup winners, are behind in the games played category largely because of their run to the Concacaf Champions Cup Final, which included impressive aggregate victories over a pair of Mexican powerhouses in Tigres and Monterrey.
Saturday night's meeting with the Crew begins a week in which the Revs - winners of their last two home games - will play twice at Gillette Stadium in a span of five days, also hosting Atlanta United FC next Wednesday night (July 3) in Foxborough.
Overall Record vs. Columbus: 29-40-20
Home Record vs. Columbus: 19-18-9
Last meeting at Gillette Stadium: Crew 2, Revs 1 (October 4, 2023)
Last meeting at Lower.com Field: Revs 1, Crew 1 (April 15, 2023)

SHOW YOUR COLORS
Saturday night the Revs will wear their "Defiance" kit, which will serve as the team's community uniform once again for the 2024 MLS season.
The "Defiance" kit features a white jersey and red shorts, with red socks and red trim along the shoulder and sleeves. The shirt's design is punctuated by a bold red "strikethrough" across the chest that embodies New England's famous spirit of positive defiance. Revolution is the ultimate act of defiance, and the club's new kit honors that resilient spirit that sparked the American Revolution, laid the foundation for our country, and has resonated throughout the New England region for centuries.
You can purchase the "Defiance" kit HERE.
