After a memorable night in Cincinnati that featured a playoff-clinching victory, two assists from Peyton Miller, a historic milestone for Carles Gil, Josh Wynder’s first MLS goal, and a brace from Dor Turgeman, the league is honoring Turgeman’s performance with a spot on the MLS Team of the Matchday for Matchday 30 presented by Audi.
The striker opened the scoring for New England with an equalizer against FC Cincinnati in the 21st minute, after the Revs conceded first just eight minutes prior. Turgeman’s powerful strike to the upper right corner of the net came off a ball from 18-year-old Miller. Revolution newcomer Josh Wynder set up the play for Miller, earning his first MLS assist with the secondary helper.
The equalizing goal was the first of many impactful moments for the trio on Wednesday night, as Wynder and Miller each earned a spot on the bench of the week’s best XI.
Wynder had a night of firsts, also scoring his first goal for New England in the 43rd minute – a header off a corner kick from Gil. The Revolution captain’s service solidified him as just the second player in MLS history to earn double-digit assists in six consecutive seasons.
The firsts would continue for the Revolution, as Turgeman logged his first multi-goal performance, with his second of the night coming in the 51st minute to put the Revs ahead 3-1. The Israeli forward was again assisted by Miller, who secured his first multi-assist performance of his MLS career, fresh off his senior debut with the United States Men’s National Team.
The three-point result elevated the Revs to third in the Eastern Conference standings as they aim to finish in a top seed ahead of their first postseason appearance since 2023.
With five games remaining in the regular season, the Revolution remain focused on the match ahead, hosting Chicago Fire FC at Gillette Stadium on Saturday night. Kickoff against the East’s fourth-place team is set for 7:30 p.m. ET as New England present their first-ever Harry Potter™ Night.
