Saturday night in Montréal was all about the wingbacks. Youngsters Peyton Miller and Ilay Feingold were on fire, with a combined three goals to take down CF Montréal at Stade Saputo. The defenders’ exciting performances earned both a spot on MLS Team of the Matchday for Matchday 17 presented by Audi. The appearances on this week’s best XI come as a first for both defenders.

Off a cross from Feingold, 17-year-old Miller opened the scoring for the Revs in the 48th minute on Saturday. Shortly afterwards, Feingold found the net himself, making it 2-0 in the 55th minute. The duo refused to stop there, with Miller repaying Feingold’s assist with a helper of his own in the 87th minute. The 20-year-old Israeli right back put away the cross for his third goal in the last two games.

After the match, head coach Caleb Porter said he feels the pair are some of the best young wingbacks in the league.

“They still have a lot of areas they need to improve in, but the talent and potential, for sure. They have as much talent and potential as any wingback in the league, and that’s exciting, because they’re only going to get better and better and better,” he said. “It’s a big reason why we’re able to play this system that we’re playing right now, the 3-5-2, is because of them and their ability to provide that width.”

For both Miller and Feingold, the 3-5-2 formation - which New England integrated early in the season - has allowed them to find their current form, getting involved in the attack and making major impacts to the scoreline.

You wouldn’t know it from his confidence on the pitch, but this season is Feingold’s first in the league, hitting the ground running since joining the Revolution from Israeli Premier League side, Maccabi Haifa. The defender is now New England’s second-highest goal contributor for 2025, trailing behind only Carles Gil with six combined goals and assists.

For Miller, who is a product of the Revolution’s Academy program, the goal was his first since debuting with the first team last year. Graduating from high school just over a month ago, the Connecticut native has started 10 of his 11 appearances with the Revs this season.

After a heavy stretch of road matches, playing three in the last week, Miller now heads for international duty with the United States Under-20s, where he will play in a pair of friendlies in preparation for the 2025 FIFA Under-20 World Cup. While Miller joins a handful of other Revolution players called up to represent their countries this month, New England will take a bye week before finally returning to Gilette Stadium to face FC Cincinnati on June 14 (7:30 p.m. ET).
