Carles Gil's electric performance in Saturday night's 2-1 win over Atlanta United FC continues to earn league-wide plaudits following Week 3, as the New England Revolution captain was named to the MLS Team of the Week presented by Audi.
Making the most of his 93 touches, Gil provided the primary assist on Brandon Bye's opening goal before registering the game winner himself from the penalty spot, marking the fifth time in his Revolution career that he's notched both a goal and an assist in the same game. Gil now has three goals and five assists in his last seven appearances dating back to last year's playoffs.
Andrew Farrell was also recognized for his performance against Atlanta, leading the Revs with nine possessions gained as he earned a spot on the Team of the Week bench.
