The New England Revolution will travel across the country once more to face Real Salt Lake at America First Field. The Revs take on RSL for the first time since 2024, kicking off at 9:30 p.m. ET in Sandy, Utah.

The Revs have won five of their last seven matches and currently own a three-game win streak. Their recent results have been integral as the Audi 2026 MLS Cup Playoffs loom, putting New England in second place of the Eastern Conference standings. Most recently, the Revs returned to Gillette Stadium in a dominant 4-2 victory over Orlando City SC, following a successful nine-point road trip.
On the road, the Revolution have won four of their last five games and will look to continue that road form in Utah. Historically, New England have had a tough time when travelling to Real Salt Lake, winning just two of 12 games as the visiting side. With eight games of regular season play remaining, the Revs are motivated to keep earning points.
Real Salt Lake

Real Salt Lake have not won a game since May 16 and are 0-9-3 since returning from the FIFA World Cup break. They have been a stronger side at home, claiming seven of their eight wins at America First Field. Although, in their last two outings as hosts, RSL have taken consecutive losses as they prepare to face New England.
Much of Real Salt Lake’s adversity has come defensively, conceding 44 goals through 26 games. Their defensive record ranks 12th in the West. Unfortunately, Real Salt Lake will be without star midfielder, Diego Luna for the rest of the season after the 23-year-old received surgery for a torn meniscus.
KEY PLAYERS
Revolution midfielder Jackson Yueill
With Alhassan Yusuf out with injury, Jackson Yueill has made two consecutive starts for the Revolution in the last two matches. Taking on more responsibility in the midfield, Yueill has made an instant impact, earning an assist in each of his last two appearances.
As Yusuf will remain unavailable for at least the next few weeks and with Brooklyn Raines on international duty with the United States, the Revolution will continue to rely on Yueill in Salt Lake. With nearly 10 years of MLS experience, Yueill is a trusted veteran to continue making an impact for the Revs.
RSL forward Sergi Solans
While Real Salt Lake has struggled defensively, they’ve been stronger on the attack, scoring 37 goals through 26 games. With Diego Luna out with injury and attacker Zavier Gozo traded to Crystal Palace FC, Seri Solans will be expected to make an even larger impact on the RSL attack. 23-year-old Solans currently leads Salt Lake with nine goals.
While Solans has been without goals for five straight games, he will be motivated to get back on the scoresheet in front of the home crowd. He leads the team in overall goal contributions, xG, and with 22 shots on target.
WHAT THEY’RE SAYING
Mitrović on his assessment of Real Salt Lake:
“If we look at their results and maybe their recent form, obviously they are probably not happy with the results they had in recent games. But watching their games, I would say that they have really good intentions both in and out of possession. Sometimes you’re in those moments when things don’t go your way or you don’t get the outcome you want, but I can see a very consistent behavior of the team. It’s actually a team that is very well coached.”
Midfielder Jackson Yueill on the team’s confidence to win difficult matches:
“It obviously starts with Marko. He gives the team courage and bravery to go out there and play how we should and how we want to with that confidence. Whether it’s the first minute or the last minute, we know how to exploit spaces and things. It’s about being consistent and persistent and being relentless in those actions. We know those chances are going to come, they might come in the 93rd or 96th minute like it did on Saturday, and we just have to be ready to take advantage of those opportunities.”
Midfielder Dániel Gazdag on the team’s strengths:
"I think it's a really strong group of players. Really good results during the season, and since I've been here, so that's a really good thing. I think we have a lot of positives when we are playing. We have quick guys, we're also good on the ball, can keep the ball for a longer time, and then hurt the opponent with our strengths. And as I said, really good individuals on the team as well, so I think there are a lot of different things we can do. The playoffs are coming, so we would like to be in good shape for that, obviously, getting the best seed we can. We will work, and we will fight for everything.”
