WASHINGTON, D.C. (August 19, 2026) – The New England Revolution (10-7-3, 33 pts.) defeated D.C. United (5-6-9, 24 pts.), 3-0, on the road on Wednesday night at Audi Field. Midfielder Alhassan Yusuf accounted for all the scoring with the first MLS hat trick by a Revolution player since 2017. English winger Jack Harrison recorded assists on all three goals in his third consecutive appearance, and second straight start, since joining the club.

New England broke the deadlock midway through the first half, with Yusuf connecting on a header. Harrison whipped a cross into the far post, where winger Peyton Miller headed a ball across the box to an oncoming Yusuf, who also scored in the season's first meeting with D.C. Harrison and Yusuf linked up again just before halftime, with the Nigeria international tapping home a cross to double the advantage heading into the break.

The Revolution continued to pile on the pressure after the intermission, generating a bevy of chances just after the hour mark. D.C. United goalkeeper Sean Johnson recorded four saves over a three-minute span, denying efforts from Miller, Carles Gil, and Dor Turgeman twice. With D.C. under siege, Yusuf completed his hat trick, nodding home another Harrison cross from close range. Yusuf's three-goal performance is the first by a Revolution player in regular season action since Kei Kamara's hat trick in September 2017.

Harrison now has four assists in three games for New England since joining the club last month, including helpers in back-to-back starts. Defender Will Sands, who set a new career high with his 20th appearance of the season, was credited with a secondary assist on the second goal. Matt Polster, who started his sixth consecutive match at right back, notched a secondary assist on the final tally, his second helper of the campaign.

Goalkeeper Matt Turner registered his fifth clean sheet of the season, improving his career record against D.C. United to 10-1-2 with a three-save shutout tonight. The United States international made a pair of highlight-reel saves on the night, denying midfielder Keisuke Nono the opening tally with a reaction stop in the 20th minute and topping that with a diving save on Nathan Ordaz in the 71st minute. Tonight's shutout marked New England's third straight clean sheet win over D.C. United.

The Revolution will return home this weekend for a Sunday Night Soccer match against New York City FC, kicking off at 4:30 p.m. ET from Gillette Stadium. Sunday's match will stream live on Apple TV in English and Spanish, or tune in to the club's local radio calls on 98.5 The Sports Hub (WBZ-FM), Rumba 97.7 FM (Spanish), and 1260 AM Nossa Radio USA (Portuguese).
