RECENT FORM VS. NEW YORK CITY FC
New York City FC have had the upper hand in this series the past two seasons, winning both regular season meetings last year after a pair of draws in 2023. The Revs have been shut out in each of the past three league meetings with NYCFC, though they did find the back of the net in a 1-1 draw during last year's Leagues Cup before falling in a penalty shootout. Yankee Stadium has been a difficult road venue for the Revs dating back to 2021, as they've gone 0-3-1 on their last four visits to the Bronx.
Another solid defensive performance kept the Revs level with the Philadelphia Union into the late stages of last weekend's meeting at Gillette Stadium, but a pair of late goals ultimately saw the visitors claim a 2-0 win to remain perfect on the season. With just three goals against through three games the Revs boast one of the best defensive records in MLS, but they're the only team leaguewide yet to register a goal.
Under the guidance of new head coach Pascal Jansen, NYCFC opened the season with back-to-back road games at Inter Miami CF (2-2 draw) and Los Angeles FC (1-0 loss), before returning to Yankee Stadium last weekend for their first win of the year, a 2-1 triumph over Orlando City SC. They've made the Bronx one of the more difficult road trips in MLS, going 10-4-3 at home last season.
The Revs will follow up this weekend's road trip with an early-season bye during the international break, returning to action at Gillette Stadium on March 29 when they'll host the New York Red Bulls.

Saturday night the Revs will be wearing the "Boston Tea Party" kit, which will serve as the club's primary uniform once again in 2025.
Inspired by Boston's proud history of positive defiance, the kit commemorates the recent 250th anniversary of the Boston Tea Party in December 1773. The shirt design is highlighted by red and white vertical waves on the jersey's front, which represent the ripples in the Boston Harbor made by East India Training Company's tea creates as the American revolutionaries emptied 45 tons of tea into the water.
The navy jersey features red shoulders with three white stripes, a throwback to earlier Revolution jerseys, paired with navy shorts and navy socks, featuring red and white striping on top.
