RECENT FORM VS. SPORTING KANSAS CITY
This will be the first meeting between the Revs and Sporting KC in more than two years, and the first showdown in Kansas City since June 2022. While there's a lack of recent on-field history, the Revs have had success in this series over the course of the past decade, going 7-2-1 in the last 10 meetings with SKC dating back to 2014. That includes a 3-0-1 run in the last four encounters, and a 2-1-1 mark in the last four trips to Children's Mercy Park.
The Revs (5-4-3, 18 pts.) will carry a six-game league unbeaten run (4-0-2) into Saturday night's match, a stretch that includes five shutouts as they've improved upon a league-leading defense that has conceded just 10 goals through 12 matches. Much of that recent success has been away from home, as the Revs are 3-0-1 with three clean sheets on their last four road trips. New England did feature an entirely rotated squad for a Tuesday night tilt with Chicago Fire FC in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Round of 16, falling 3-1 on the campus of Providence College.
Kansas City (3-8-3, 12 pts.) is under new leadership for the first time in two decades as the club parted ways with Peter Vermes in late March after 20 years in managerial positions with SKC. Kerry Zavagnin has taken over as interim head coach and led Sporting KC to a 3-3-2 mark in eight games, including two wins in three matches at Children's Mercy Park, where they've played just once since mid-April.
In the midst of playing five games in 15 days, Saturday's match begins a three-game road swing for the Revs, who'll also visit D.C. United (May 28) and CF Montréal (May 31) within a one-week span.

Saturday night the Revs will wear the "Eastern White Pine" kit, which will serve as the club's Community kit for the 2025 and 2026 seasons.
Inspired by the Flag of New England on the 250th anniversary of its first use by New England colonies in the Revolutionary War, this is the first time in a decade that the Revs have paid homage to the historic Flag of New England in their kit design. While the Flag of New England has regularly been featured as a minor accent on the club's jerseys, the new kit's design iterates on past tributes by focusing on the Eastern White Pine featured on the flag.
This is the first season-long Revolution uniform to feature Forest Green as the leading color, accented by the club’s Heritage Blue, paired with white shorts and white socks.
